ABOUT

image4.jpeg

Derek “D-Rock” Warwick lives, teaches, sleeps and dreams everything DRUMS! With an ear for sound, an eye for “flash” and a love for the “show”! Every detail is taken under consideration and nothing is overlooked as far as his drum set and his overall love for bashing the skins. Be it his insane personal rehearsal practice schedule or his gear. It all leads to the show!

In his first band, as a teenager, they were signed to a record label out of Oakland, CA. they had a Strong hard rock, metal, and a punk twist, Which was all centered on the percussion styles and dynamics of D-ROCK!

In late 2009, at the age of 20, Derek auditioned for and was offered the drumming gig with an established Los Angeles Rock band, Tattooed Millionaires. Shortly after moving to Hollywood, Derek was in the spotlight at The Whisky A Go-Go and all over the Sunset Strip. This would eventually springboard him into the Hollywood circuit, Las Vegas and a several month tour around North America allowing Derek’s talent to spike once again. Inspiration, tips, and lessons from Matt Sorum (The Cult, Guns’n’Roses) and Glen Sobel (Independent, Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) gave Derek A shot of advanced technical knowledge, which really catapulted his desire and ability to the next level. Recent gigs have been with NYC band The Raskins, who had success releasing their first record and having toured with big acts such as Motley Crue and Alice Cooper.

Derek’s roots are in Northern California. He is always on the hunt for the band to rehearse, perform, tour, and record with, with individuals that are talented and driven in the music world and are always at the top of their game. Derek’s resume stretches far and wide, opening for local and national touring acts such as, Steel Panther, Buckcherry, cabo wabo band, MichAEl Monroe (Hanoi Rocks), Jetboy, Faster Pussycat, Suduce(Detroit), A Skylit Drive, Otep, Verbal Abuse, Resilience, Monster Squad, The Stitches, D’Molls (Chicago) and Bobaflex. It’s been said that he is one of the best drummers to come out of Sonoma County. Stay tuned. Keep your eyes and ears open.
